Our vacation recommendations come from our personal experience.  When we recommend a particular trip, scenic drive, hike, hotel or vacation home rental... it's because we had a great time, it surpassed our strict criteria, and now we have treasured memories.

Plus we provide the details on what to expect and how to be prepared to experience the best.

Think of us as your friendly neighborhood trip advisors, letting you know about Utah's ultimate destinations and outdoor activities!

If you love outdoor adventures or even just exploring nature's beauty, you can't go wrong with a vacation to Utah.  Something magical happened when Utah was created!

With the Rocky Mountains in the north, and the Colorado Plateau in the south, Utah has more than its "fair share" of breath-taking scenic beauty.

Over the ages, the Colorado River has carved out amazing stone formations.  In fact, we have so many National Parks and Recreation Areas in Southern Utah... it would take a lifetime of yearly vacations to see everything.  So instead, we guide you to the best of the best!  (Like Delicate Arch in Moab, pictured below.)

Personally, I love downhill skiing (snowboards weren't invented when I started).  And, the younger generation loves snowboarding.  But, there's also snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tubing/sledding, and ice climbing.

In the same mountains during the Spring, Summer, and Fall... we enjoy mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and riding all-terrain vehicles.  Or, just taking a scenic drive on a dirt road to test out our new Toyota 4Runner 4x4.

You don't have to sleep in a tent, either.  Park City is the new vacation home capital of the Multi-Millionaires and Billionaires.

The rest of us can still experience a luxury getaway.  Just take a trip to one of Park City's ever-expanding resorts and stay in a 5 star hotel.  Or, rent a million-dollar vacation home in Sundance (in Robert Redford's neighborhood).

As a potential visitor to our beautiful state or as a native of Utah, Utah Trip Advisor  is a valuable tool.  Use it to plan a romantic getaway, outdoor adventure, family reunion, ski vacation, or just a day trip.

Salt Lake City Motels, Hotels, and Activities--Salt Lake City is the Capital of Utah and largest city.  Stay in a downtown hotel and visit Temple Square and pioneer history sites.  Catch a Utah Jazz game.

Park City Lodging and Activities--Park City has three world-class ski resorts and home of the Sundance Film Festival.  Downtown has great restaurant and fun shopping and near the freeway exit there are outlet stores.

Sundance Resort Trip Advisor--Sundance Resort Area (in Provo, Utah) is owned by Robert Redford and is known as the best small ski resort in the USA.  Nestled in the shadows of Mount Timpanogos, this gorgeous mountain getaway is one of the best in the West for scenic value, great restaurants, and vacation home rentals.

Sundance Lodging--How to get your money's worth?  During our last stay we found out some interesting things about Sundance lodging.  Let Utah Trip Advisor help you get the "best of the best" accommodations for your luxury getaway (best location, best size, best quality).

Provo Utah Hotels and Activities--Provo & Utah Valley is home to Brigham Young University.  The Provo-Orem Metropolitan Area will surpass 500,000 within the next year or so.

Vernal Utah Hotels and activities--Vernal is the largest town in Dinosaurland in North-Eastern Utah.  Utah Trip Advisor suggested attractions include Flaming George and Dinosaur National Monument.

Moab Utah Hotels and activities--Moab is the ultimate destination for extreme outdoor adventures for adrenalin-junkies and a Utah Trip Advisor favorite.  Hiking to unbelievable vistas...  Excellent off-road adventures in a jeep or hummer you can rent in town...  Colorado river rafting of level III to IV rapids...  Mountain biking in the Mecca of the sport...  Rock climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering...

St. George Utah Motels and Activities--St. George is Utah's Winter vacation city, known for great golfing and outdoor adventures for the surrounding national parks in the region.  Daily temperatures about 10 to 20 degree Celsius hotter than the Wasatch Front region because the elevation is closer to sea level.  St. George has a population of over 60,000 residents.

Lake Powell House Boat Trip Advisor--This summer paradise offers the best house boating, water-skiing, jet skiing, and swimming on the planet.  Don't worry if you don't have your own water craft, because Wahweap, Bullfrog and other marinas will rent jet skis and boats for fishing, skiing, or house boating.

Flights to Salt Lake City--Utah has five airports with commercial service. The majority of travelers will arrive in Utah via a flight to Salt Lake City.  The good news is that a flight to Salt Lake City is fairly cheap. Salt Lake City International Airport serves 25 million passengers per year.  SLC is the second largest hub of Delta Airlines and Southwest Airlines is also a major player in this market.

Utah National Parks--Utah has five national parks!  They are all located in Southern Utah where the Colorado River's flow has eroded the Colorado Plateau's different sedimentary layers leaving behind some of the most gorges natural landmarks in the Universe, like: Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Arches National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, and Canyonlands National Park.

Bryce Canyon National Park--Bryce Canyon National Park has spectacular scenic views and you can't beat the sunset and sunrise photographs!  The visitor center, camp sites and main road in this national park are located on the top of the mountain plateau at an elevation of 8000 ft.  The main road has multiple turnoffs to get to the viewpoints that are along the rim of the canyon.

Zion National Park--Plan your trip to Zion National Park... Zion National Park is the most popular of the five Utah National Parks.  Zion has a multitude of adventures to enjoy; go hiking, mountaineering, and canyoneering or to just to become awe-inspired by the mountain grandeur.

Arches National Park--Arches National Park has great hikes & bring your camera as Delicate Arch is one of the most photographed sites in Utah.  Arches National Park is located 5 miles north of Moab, Utah.  There are three hikes to view Delicate Arch.  One requires a short walk from the parking lot.  From the same parking lot, you may hike up towards the Delicate Arch for a view-at-a-distance.  The more difficult hike is a 3-mile round trip.

Romantic Getaways--Couples need to rejuvenate their relationship by going on romantic getaways at least once every three months.  You should spend this time recharging and reconnecting to each other, so you remember why you fell in love in the first place.

All Inclusive Family Vacations--If an all inclusive family vacation is what you are looking for... We've selected the best of the best for your review!  How did we select these specific all inclusive family vacation spots?  First, scenic value.  Most people go on vacation for a change of scenery (might as well make it a awe-inspiring one).  Second, accommodations need to be in close proximity of various vacation activities. Third, the base site (lodge, vacation home, or hotel) has to live up to the high expectations of Utah Trip Advisor.

Other Travel Guides recommended by Utah Trip Advisor--While we know that planning a vacation to Utah is your main reason for visiting Utah Trip Advisor, we also realize that the web was made to search and without links you would never find us or anyone else.  So, we have personally selected the following websites and provide you with links to other destinations.
