Park City Ski Lodging

Park City Lodging Recommendations...

Utah's winter attractions were presented on the world stage when Salt Lake City and Park City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.  With three world class ski resorts (and easy access from Salt Lake City International Airport), Park City is now recognized as the #1 ski and snowboard vacation destination.

But there are also cultural events like the annual Sundance Film Festival in Park City and Sundance.

Park City has a charming downtown with interesting stores and great restaurants, but people come for the mountain outdoor adventures.  The ski/snowboard season is the premium vacation time, but the most exclusive time is during the 2 weeks of the Sundance Film Festival.

All ski resorts are attempting to provide reason to visit them during the off-season.  But to be realistic, Park City is a ski town and when winter turns to Spring it almost turns into a ghost town.

We fell in love with the Grand Summit Hotel (the only ski-in / ski-out property) at the Canyons Resort in Park City.  Read about the advantages of using this as your Park City lodging headquarters

Heber City is a short drive from Park City.  If you plan to stay in the area during the holiday season, your kids will love taking a trip to the North Pole on the Polar Express Activity presented by the Heber Valley Railroad.

Park City Lodging may still an excellent destination choice for the summer months, but we recommend that you plan to also travel to areas in the vicinity to enjoy water sports, hiking, and mountain biking.

We stayed in Park City during the Fall season (probably the slowest time of the year) and it felt like we had Park City all to ourselves.  It was quite relaxing...   And, the changing leaves created a gorgeous autumn foliage which was worth the trip.

Here are some of our Utah Trip Advisor recommendations for your stay in Park City Lodging...

Suggestions:

1.  Ski at The Canyons Resort.

2.  Rejuvenate at Grand Summit Hotel.

3.  Go to Downtown during the day to shop and at night for a "night on the town."

4.  Bring your camera to take some great pictures.
