If you decide to rent through Sundance hotel reservations...
What are the benefits? 

Sundance hotel reservations will offer properties located in four regions of the resort area.  Property-owners may place their condo or mountain home in the "Sundance rental pool."  If so, Sundance manages the private owner's property and rents them out to guests staying at Sundance Resort. 

Another option is to rent directly from a private-owner.

We recently called Sundance hotel reservations to book a weekend getaway.  We stayed in a Sundance Studio in the River Run section, cottage #3C.  We loved it!  Here's a look at our studio in the photo below.

A "Sundance studio" is an upgrade from the standard room.  Not only are studio accommodations larger but they also include a fireplace (see photo below).

It was nice to have a sink, fridge, and microwave in our room.  Our favorite part of the bathroom was the steamer in the shower...  I want one of these for my master bathroom at home!

If you stay in a River Run property, a small creek runs year-round right out the back door.  We sat out on the patio to talk in the peaceful surroundings and ambience of nature with background sounds of the mountain stream.

Sundance hotel reservations will provide a bellman; he will show you to your room, condo, or mountain home and help with your luggage.  You will also have a phone connected to the front desk.  We did not find this very helpful as they are short-staffed (so plan on being on hold for a very long time).  You also receive daily house-keeping and have access to a concierge.  Breakfast at the Foundry Grill is also included. 

If you left something at home (we left our tooth floss), the Sundance front desk will cheerfully provide a replacement (for a $5 delivery fee plus $3 for a 99-cent container of floss).  Or, you can buy it yourself at the cafe in Sundance Village. 

There is an alternative to booking your stay with Sundance hotel reservations, you may instead rent directly from a private-owner.
