Utah National Parks x five = more than our
fair share? ...

A trip to one of the Utah National Parks is a view into
the past. The Colorado River's flow has eroded the Colorado Plateau's
different sedimentary layers leaving behind some of the most gorges natural
landmarks in the Universe.
It's easy to pretend you are taking a trip back
in time to the Jurassic Era in places like:
Zion National Park,
Bryce Canyon
National Park, Arches National Park, Capitol Reef
National Park, and Canyonlands National Park.
I grew up visiting national parks in southern
Utah with my grandparents. We took vacations in their RV camper, which I
thought was a blast. My kids love going on vacation in an RV.
Saint
George is close to Zion National Park, so you may want to stay in this
town of 60,000 residents. Moab
is close to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, so this town is
the logical base-camp for visiting these NPs.
Suggestions:
1.
Visit two National Parks during one vacation: Zion and Bryce Canyon or
Arches and Canyonlands.
2. The elevation will
help determine the heat during the Summer months. Bryce Canyon is high
elevation, so temperatures should be lower than Zion which is at a low
elevation.
3. Bring your camera to
take some great pictures.
